As we have been monitoring the wavering increases and decreases of COVID and its subsequent variants over the past year and half, we most importantly are concerned about our congregation’s (WSBC) collective spiritual health and growth into maturity in Christ above all and then our congregation's physical health. We believe that the COVID mitigations that we have in place at WSBC should and must not hinder our love for God, Jesus Christ our Savior, and our love for one another. We believe that the greater importance in all things for us as Christians is Jesus; our trust in Jesus; our worship of Jesus, our fellowship with Jesus; and our growth in deeper love for Jesus so that our faithful service and witness of Jesus is truly authentic.
The WSBC COVID Task Force is still recommending that we continue to wear masks when we gather in November. We will continue to diligently monitor the situation while praying and hoping with you for the day when we will be able to safely lighten these mitigations. In the meantime, let us keep our eyes on Jesus who is the author and perfecter of our faith. We are excited about the upcoming holidays and the special opportunities we will have again this year to gather in worship and to praise the magnificence of Jesus on Nov. 21 for a Thanksgiving Service and throughout the Christmas season. Visit our website for all the details, and then invite someone you love to join you in loving Jesus this Christmas: https://wsbc.info/christmas.
